Joshua Harris, who gained fame — and bestseller status — for I Kissed Dating Goodbye, has already stepped back from the principles his book espoused.

He’s now gone one step further, announcing that his marriage is over and that he has lost his faith while also apologizing to LGBTQ people for contributing “to a culture of exclusion and bigotry.”

I Kissed Dating Goodbye told followers to reject casual dating in favor of supervised, serious courtship and to be abstinent.

You can read more of Harris’s thoughts on his shift in thinking straight from the source on Instagram or in the Guardian.
