The more things change, the more they don’t: bestselling author James Patterson is continuing to use his fortune to help those in need.
Specifically, he has donated $500,000 in an effort to save independent bookstores across the US as they struggle during this time of coronavirus-induced social distancing and closures.
Joining Patterson in the #SaveIndieBookstores public campaign are actress Reese Witherspoon, the Book Industry Charitable Foundation, and the American Booksellers Association.
You can learn more and donate to the #SaveIndieBookstores campaign online (in addition, of course, to purchasing books for delivery or pickup if that's available to you).
