Elena Ferrante’s latest novel, The Lying Life of Adults, won’t be out worldwide until September 1 (rather than June 9) thanks to the coronavirus.

But like the novels it follows — her smash hit Neapolitan quartet — it will become a TV series.

Literary Hub reports that Netflix will be co-producing the adaptation, done jointly with the same company that worked on My Brilliant Friend, but of course, no one has an idea of when either the new series or the third season of the existing one will emerge.

You can read more about the TV deal in Deadline, where Lit Hub found the news.
