Memorial Day may have passed, but you may also still be in a military mood. 

Over the weekend, NPR’s Michel Martin interviewed the co-authors of a new book called They Were Soldiers: The Sacrifices And Contributions Of Our Vietnam Veterans.

Joseph L. Galloway and Marvin J. Wolf, who both spent years covering Vietnam as journalists, want the world to take a fuller view of these veterans, who survived unspeakable trauma in the field and continued to overcome challenges upon their return to civilian life.
