Hundreds of poets, including past fellow Ocean Vuong, and supporters signed an open letter condemning the foundation’s brief statement, pledging not to submit to the foundation’s magazine, and boycotting partnerships with it until certain demands are met.

Those demands include key resignations, financial support for marginalized poets, and “specific, material ways” to fight institutional racism.
