The Da Vinci Code author Dan Brown is facing a nasty lawsuit from his ex-wife, a year after their divorce took place.

Blythe Brown has a number of unflattering allegations about him, but relevant to this site’s theme is that she came up with the premise for the smash hit The Da Vinci Code and other novels he wrote, according to the Associated Press.

The lawsuit, filed Monday, also accuses Dan Brown of hiding lucrative projects from Blythe Brown, including a television series and a children’s book.

Dan Brown denied the latest accusations, literary and otherwise, in a statement.

The Associated Press notes that in 2006, when two authors unsuccessfully sued Dan Brown for allegedly using their book’s plot for The Da Vinci Code, Blythe Brown’s contributions were cited in witness statements and court testimony.
