Did we know that Daphne du Maurier’s Rebecca was becoming a film, or did we block it out of our minds as 2020 grew ever more … um … complicated?
Well, either way, we received not just a fresh reminder, but also a first look at it.
Literary Hub shared some of Netflix’s photos from the set of the Rebecca movie, with Lily James as our unnamed narrator, Armie Hammer as Maxim de Winter, and Kristin Scott Thomas as Mrs. Danvers.
The movie comes out October 21, 2020.

This has always been one of my favorite stories. To say I love it is an understatement. They are bringing the story into the modern age so it will be interesting to see the new Maxim De Winter and the eerie Mrs. Danvers. Just hoping Maxim is as handsome and debonaire as Lawrence Olivier. I don't think they will able to rival the original Alfred Hitchcock though. Hopefully, it doesn't disappoint.
