If your morning, like ours, is full of gray skies, falling temperatures, and rising winds, you deserve the following mental break.

Ann Patchett, beloved for such novels as The Dutch House and Bel Canto, has collaborated with illustrator Robin Preiss Glasser again for a children’s book.

The two spoke with NPR’s Scott Simon about Escape Goat, which has its roots in the young Patchett’s misunderstanding of the term “scapegoat.”
