Much of the United States lies in the path of a few winter storms this week, and while we can’t shovel (or chisel) you out, we can offer some oddly thematic viewing.

PBS will air American Masters — Laura Ingalls Wilder: Prairie to Page on Tuesday night, meaning that while winter rages outside your window, you can focus on a literary long winter instead.

The PBS show promises an “unvarnished look” at the cultural and historic impacts of Wilder’s writing, in honor of the 85th anniversary of Little House on the Prairie.

You can preview the show through a trailer and a textual introduction on PBS’s website.
