Many of our Facebook fans, at least, have expressed little to no interest in a nonfiction book about the COVID-19 pandemic.
We’re curious to learn whether the announcement of a collaborative pandemic novel will move that opinion.
Margaret Atwood, John Grisham, Emma Donoghue, Celeste Ng, and Dave Eggers are among those bringing Fourteen Days: An Unauthorized Gathering to life, reports the Associated Press.
Novelist and Authors Guild President Douglas Preston suggested the project as a fundraiser for the foundation, which accepted a “major” donation from author Suzanne Collins to support the project.
Fourteen Days, which is expected out next spring, takes place on a Manhattan rooftop early in the pandemic as rich people flee the city.
