Here’s a suggestion: tune in to PBS for the premiere of American Oz, a documentary about L. Frank Baum.

We all know Baum as the author of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, but the show dives into the many twists and turns his life took before he published the now-classic book.

Wicked author Gregory Maguire is among the many sources interviewed for the show, which may or may not be a bonus for some Baum fans.
