Author Evelyn Waugh’s English country manor is for sale

Last week we shared a literary dream home in the US.

Now it’s time to take a trip across the Atlantic for a different bookish mansion.

Literary Hub shared the real estate listing of author Evelyn Waugh’s former English country manor.

Combe Florey House in Somerset has twelve bedrooms and, among other features,  party barn – making the asking price of $7.6 million seem fairly, well, fair.

Waugh’s best-known novel, Brideshead Revisited, is an earnest family drama, though he’s considered the best satirical novelist of his era.
