The estates of late authors have been busy recently.
You may recall that Ursula K. LeGuin’s reinstated her blog; now, Jack Kerouac’s writing is becoming the basis for a podcast series.
Deadline reports that Dave Wedge and Casey Sherman, who have co-written several books in addition to hosting and producing the true-crime podcast Saints, Sinners and Serial Killers, are behind the untitled Kerouac show.
There’ll be three ten-episode seasons of the podcast, all of them based on Kerouac’s You're a Genius All the Time: Belief and Technique for Modern Prose.
The show will feature a variety of “A-list” creatives who have been influenced by the Beat icon’s work, per Deadline.
Kerouac is best known for his poetry and novels such as On the Road and The Dharma Bums.
