Dolly Parton is writing a novel … and releasing an album to accompany it.
Run, Rose, Run, a collaboration between the country music and literacy icon and James Patterson, comes out March 7.
The novel is the story of a young woman who seeks fame in Nashville while also hiding her past, and it inspired all twelve songs on the album that will come out on the same day as the book, says People.
Parton’s literary partner, Patterson, raved about the experience of writing with her.
“The mind-blowing thing about this project is that reading the novel is enhanced by listening to the album and vice versa,” he added.
