We’re a sucker for a good pun.

The estate of J.R.R. Tolkien, however, appears to be able to resist.

The Guardian reports that the estate took (successful) legal action to end a cryptocurrency called JRR Token.

Upon learning about the Lord of the Rings-themed crypto, the Tolkien estate brought the issue to the World Intellectual Property Organization, arguing that it infringed upon its trademarks.

While the developer tried to pull the parody card, a WIPO arbitrator agreed with the Tolkien estate that the humor was lacking.
