Author and satirist P.J. O’Rourke has died at age seventy-four.
O'Rourke, who was known for his conservative and libertarian commentary, passed away Tuesday, according to his publisher.
His work appeared in a number of publications, including Rolling Stone and The Weekly Standard; he himself appeared on such shows as 60 Minutes and NPR's Wait Wait... Don’t Tell Me!.
Additionally, he published several books: Give War a Chance, Driving Like Crazy, None of My Business, and A Cry from the Middle.
His publisher also told The Associated Press that O'Rourke still had one more book in the works, titled been working on a one-volume look at the United States, as seen from his hometown: A History of Toledo, Ohio: From the Beginning of Time Til the End of the Universe.
