Author Nancy Brophy was found guilty Wednesday in the death of her husband.
The trial was notable because years before, the novelist had written a blog post titled "How to Murder Your Husband" — but that wasn't allowed at trial.
Still, without that fact, a jury found Brophy guilty of second-degree murder in the death of her husband, Daniel, in 2018.
She will be sentenced June 13 and is facing life in prison, reports the New York Times.
Brophy's — unsuccessful — defense was that her purchases of gun pieces in the months before her husband's death were for self-defense and for writing research.
During the trial, she said the case that prosecutors made wouldn't pass an editor's muster, were it a novel plot line.
