Prolific audiobook narrator Julia Whelan has just released her second novel — and, of course, recorded it, too.

Thank You For Listening is a romance novel starring an audiobook narrator, so naturally, the conversation between Whelan and NPR's Mary Louise Kelly focused a lot on the art of reading out loud.

Our favorite moment: when the two women discuss the quirks of being famous for their voices, not their faces, and whether they're recognized out and about.

You can listen to Whelan talk about Thank You For Listening on NPR's website, where there's also a transcript of the interview.
