Yesterday's literary birthday girl, Dorothy Parker, lived a remarkable life — in good and bad ways.

For example, no matter your opinion on the morality of communism, you probably wouldn't consider being investigated by the FBI for supposedly being a Communist to be an enjoyable thing.

But that's what Parker experienced, and so her birthday yesterday had Literary Hub thinking about that particular event.

If you too are curious about the results of the search, the nonprofit MuckRock shared the FBI files on Parker, once they became public, a few years back.

MuckRock's post has both highlights and the full file.
