A years-long wait to see the TV adaptation of William Gibson’s 2014 novel The Peripheral is incredibly close to being over.

The show, in the works since 2018, will premiere on Amazon Prime on October 21; it stars Chloë Grace Moretz as Flynne Fisher, the woman struggling to survive in an economically depressed area of the US.

You can watch the trailer for The Peripheral on YouTube.

And while the TV adaptation of Margaret Atwood's The Handmaid's Tale is set to end after the sixth season, Gilead won't be off air for long.

Bruce Miller — who serves as creator, showrunner, and executive producer for The Handmaid's Tale — will be involved in bringing the novel's sequel, The Testaments, to Hulu as well.

Season five of The Handmaid's Tale premieres this week; the Hollywood Reporter, which scored an exclusive interview with Miller, didn't have a timeline for the final season or for The Testaments.
