Author reflects on "Perks of Being a Wallflower" as the film turns 10

The movie based on Stephen Chbosky's novel The Perks of Being a Wallflower has turned ten.

And in honor of that milestone, naturally, the media wanted to hear from the author — who also wrote and directed the film adaptation of his book.

Some of the Vanity Fair interview with Chbosky gravitates towards the current struggles of one of the actors — Ezra Miller — but the majority of the conversation focuses on his artistic choices and how and why the book and movie still resonate with teenagers so many years after they came into existence.
