Barbra Streisand will finally tell her story in her own words

She's been written about scores of times ... but now, for the first time, she's telling the story.

Singer and actress Barbra Streisand is writing a memoir that will be published this year, her publisher announced yesterday.

My Name is Barbra, which covers Streisand's six-decade-long career, comes out November 7 in the US and UK.

In addition to singing and acting, she has served as a composer, director, producer, and philanthropist.

And among her many awards are two Oscars, five Emmys, ten Grammys, eleven Golden Globes, and a Tony — some of them also firsts for a woman.
