Fussy staffers are starting to not just plan, but also take vacations.

So this report from a hotel chain on the books most commonly left behind certainly tickled our fancy.

Travelodge took stock of the books forgotten (or abandoned) in its Scottish properties in 2022 and found that The Man Who Died Twice by Richard Osman was the most commonly left.

(Perhaps not surprising — it's the sequel to the smash hit The Thursday Murder Club, which itself was sixth on Travelodge's list.)

Rounding out the top five were: It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover; Fire and Blood by George RR Martin; Where The Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens; and Why Has Nobody Told Me This Before by Dr. Julie Smith.
