My maternal grandmother was born in her parents' car, on the way to the hospital.

Funnily enough, her future husband was a passionate car collector.

So maybe the story of the woman born in a library ... who got married there ... and recently returned there to mark her ninety-fourth birthday.

The parents of Mary Garvey (née Martha Cunningham) were caretakers of the East Liverpool Carnegie library in Ohio and thus had an apartment in the basement.

They moved out when Garvey was six, but one of her brothers became a custodian for the facility later on, which meant Garvey could sneak back in — after hours — to hold her wedding in the library apartment.

The building remains a library, though the basement is no longer an apartment; you can read more about Garvey's experience returning to the library where she was born in the East Liverpool Review.
