The house built on property where Jane Austen experienced many milestones is up for sale.

The current Steventon House in Hampshire, England, was built by Austen's brother Edward; it replaced a smaller home elsewhere in which the author was born and drafted some of her most famous work: Pride and Prejudice, Northanger Abbey, and Sense and Sensibility.

(The novels were finished and published while Austen lived elsewhere.)

This new (or "new") Steventon House is listed at £8,500,000 ($10,009,600); you can admire photos of it on the real estate website and read more about the area's Austen connection in Town & Country.
