A publisher has cut ties with a children's book illustrator who allegedly left transphobic notes threatening children in local businesses.
The Associated Press reports that Sasquatch Books will no longer publish the books that Mitchell Thomas Watley illustrated for his wife.
Bookstores in Juneau, Alaska, where Watley lives, have stopped selling them as well.
Watley faces a single count of terroristic threatening at a preliminary hearing April 11.
The notes discovered in Juneau businesses read "Feeling Cute Might Shoot Some Children" and show an assault rifle superimposed over the transgender flag.
