WNBA player Brittney Griner is writing a memoir about her "unfathomable" experience as a Russian prisoner.
The Associated Press reports that the All-Star, who was arrested on drug charges in February 2022, will release her story in book form in spring 2024.
Griner was detained nearly ten months in Russia and spent most of that time in prison. She said in a statement that she hopes her book and coverage of it will raise awareness of the plight of other Americans detained overseas.
The memoir is currently untitled and will also come out in a young-adult edition.
