As promised, Haruki Murakami's first novel since 2017's Killing Commendatore has come out.
Unfortunately for some fans, though, there's no public knowledge about any English versions of The City and Its Uncertain Walls — the book came out last week in Japan only.
The Associated Press was able to cover an event that Murakami did in support of the book's release, though.
The City and Its Uncertain Walls was first born as a short story back in 1980, not long after the author made his debut.
He had initially intended to rewrite the originally published version, but instead, he found himself expanding it as well.
