Earlier this summer, we shared a link to a story about how the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris were posing a threat to the city's riverbank booksellers.

Known as the bouquinistes, they have lined the Seine River for centuries — but, Parisian police say, about half of them must move for the Olympics' opening ceremonies.

El Pais reports that several bouquinistes are saying they won't obey, however.

One told the newspaper that his boxes are nearly a century old and he fears he won't be able to reassemble them.
