We should probably keep this post concise, in the spirit of what it's discussing, right?

Paul Daley wrote an ode to the delights of short novels that can be read in a single sitting, for the Guardian.

And just a day later, BookRiot shared a list of bite-sized summer reads (though they're all full books ... just ones that are built of short stories or essays).
