It's odd enough to see, say, the bank teller or vet tech out and about beyond how you know them.

But it becomes even more interesting, mentally, when the person you recognize is recognizable from their fame.

So these posts about celebrated authors in the rather mundane realms certainly caught our attention.

Mia Manzulli writes about being the neighbor of Joyce Carol Oates at Literary Hub, while Melina Moe reported on the rejection letters that Toni Morrison sent during her time at Penguin Random House for the Los Angeles Review of Books.
