Sweet Savage Flame took on the fading-but-still-present stigma that this genre faces and points out ten benefits of reading romance.

The New Publishing Standard, meanwhile, headed in the opposite direction, with its own explanation of why middle-grade readers are losing enthusiasm for books (inspired by Slate's earlier piece on the subject).
