Not interested in a comedic actor’s novel? Perhaps you’d prefer a book from a country music icon instead.

According to Page Six, Dolly Parton has signed a book deal with indie publishers, specifically because they offered better terms on the audio rights.

The source wasn’t sure whether the book will be fiction or nonfiction, and neither the publishers nor Parton returned comments — so we’ll just have to await the formal announcement.

It won’t be the singer’s first literary effort, though; her previous works include children’s fiction, a self-help book, and an autobiography .... which is now twenty-plus years old.
