Once again, we have news of children’s classics appearing on screen.

The trailer for the latest adaptation of Roald Dahl’s The Witches was released Friday.

Anne Hathaway will take over as the Grand High Witch from Anjelica Huston; other big-name casting choices include Octavia Spencer, Stanley Tucci, and Kristin Chenoweth.

Instead of premiering in theaters, The Witches will begin streaming on HBO Max on October 22.

The trailer is below; Pop Sugar has photos from The Witches as well.

Coming much further into the future is J.J. Abrams’s feature animation debut: an adaptation of Oh, the Places You’ll Go! by Dr. Seuss.

Deadline reports that the movie is scheduled for a 2027 release.

The same article alerts us that 2024 could bring us an animated The Cat in the Hat and that 2026 may bring an untitled standalone film based on Thing One and Thing Two.

In the meantime, you can rewatch the first season of Netflix’s animated Green Eggs and Ham series and wait for its second season.
