Since the cover is one of the very first aspects of your book that a potential reader will notice, it stands to reason that marketing guru Penny Sansevieri has a few thoughts about covers.

She’s shared two posts recently about the matter, in fact.

One is for those starting fresh, and whether you’re working with a designer (which we always advocate for) or going solo, Sansevieri has eight book cover design tips for the best book marketing to keep in mind.

If you’ve already published your book, hopefully you’re thrilled with it and it’s driving sales — but if that’s not the case (or if that’s maybe the case), Sansevieri has advice for authors wondering about whether their book cover needs a makeover.
