Akwaeke Emezi, whose sophomore novel was a bestseller and nominee for multiple awards, has released a memoir.

Dear Senthuran: A Black Spirit Memoir, which came out yesterday, is both about how Emezi became a writer and how they became the person they truly feel they are.

You can read an excerpt from Dear Senthuran in the New York Times and check out its reviews so far at Book Marks.
