A chain of bookstores is closing, but without the fanfare or mourning you might expect.

That's because the operator of said stores is Amazon.

Reuters reported Wednesday that Amazon announced it was shuttering its nearly seventy brick-and-mortar locations.

Some of those businesses were bookstores; others took a different format, selling toys and home goods.

Amazon said, in its statement, that it would focus more on its grocery markets and a department store concept.
