The National Book Foundation announced this year’s honorees for the 5 Under 35 award.
Here are the authors with the work that earned them recognition:
-
Isabella Hammad, The Parisian.
You can meet each writer on Vulture, where each chats briefly about his or her work and where there’s a synopsis of each as well.
The 5 Under 35 honor was launched in 2006 to celebrate debut fiction writers whose work “promises to leave a lasting impression on the literary landscape.”
Authors are chosen either by past National Book Award winners or finalists or by writers previously recognized by the 5 Under 35 program.
