The book that none of our Facebook followers asked for has officially hit the shelves.

The Premonition: A Pandemic Story, by Michael Lewis, takes a harsh look at how the coronavirus was able to arrive in the US and spread so quickly.

In advance of its release, Lewis spoke with NPR’s Rachel Martin and offered a preview of some of its heroes — and villains.

Their interview is available on NPR’s website, both in written and audio form; for an outsider’s view of the book, check out the New York Times’s review of The Premonition.

Lewis has previously written such popular nonfiction works as Moneyball and The Big Short.
