Netflix has turned to — what else — classic literature for its first Russian original drama series.
Leo Tolstoy’s novel Anna Karenina will be moved to modern-day Russia and retitled Anna K., according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Svetlana Khodchenkova, who appeared in Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, will play the heroine.
The series will screen worldwide, though no date has been set yet.
