Upcoming exhibit showcases costumes from Jane Austen adaptations

Jane Austen fans, we have a summer vacation for you: Cincinnati, Ohio.

The location might surprise you, but that city's Taft Museum of Art is hosting an exhibition called "Jane Austen: Fashion & Sensibility" from June 11 to September 4.

Visitors will see about fifty costumes — worn by such stars as Kate Winslet, Emma Thompson, Gwyneth Paltrow, Judi Dench, Colin Firth, and Hugh Grant — from eight movies and television adaptations of Austen’s novels.

The museum says on its website that the exhibition's aim is "revealing powerful themes of class, gender, and social dynamics in Austen’s world."
