A Reading Rainbow reboot just launched over the weekend, but there are a few key differences between it and the show you or your children grew up watching.

Rather than air at a set time, Reading Rainbow Live is available through the streaming service Looped on demand (after the purchase of a ticket, that is).

Buffalo Toronto Public Media's executive vice president pointed out to NPR that today's kids don't sit down for a show — they turn to their devices and seek content at their convenience.

And rather than LeVar Burton, twenty-somethings dubbed The Rainbows host the new show.

NPR refreshes your memory on the split between Burton and PBS, along with providing a glimpse into the new show.
