The 2019 novel Fleishman Is in Trouble by Taffy Brodesser-Akner is coming to Hulu very soon.
To whet your appetite for the November 17 launch, Hulu has released a teaser for the series.
The critically acclaimed and bestselling novel follows Toby Fleishman (played by Jesse Eisenberg), whose ex-wife (Claire Danes) drops off their kids at his place one day and never comes back to retrieve them.
Lizzy Caplan also stars as Toby's friend Libby.
John Waters's new novel, Liarmouth: A Feel-Bad Romance, won't be on screens quite as soon as Fleishman, but Deadline broke the news that the author himself will be adapting it.
Specifically, Waters will write the script and direct it — his first time behind the camera in almost twenty years.
