The Audio Publishers Association has released the finalists for this year's Audie Awards.
Like text book awards, genres include an overall category as well as a variety of genres, and you can see all of those on the APA website.
But here's the lineup for audiobook of the year:
-
The 1619 Project, created by Nikole Hannah-Jones and The New York Times Magazine, and narrated by a lengthy cast
-
Finding Me, written and narrated by Viola Davis
-
Miracle and Wonder: Conversations with Paul Simon, written by Malcolm Gladwell and Bruce Headlam and narrated by the authors plus Paul Simon
-
Remarkably Bright Creatures, written by Shelby Van Pelt and narrated by Marin Ireland and Michael Urie
-
Wake: The Hidden History of Women-Led Slave Revolts, adapted by Tyler English-Beckwith from the graphic novel by Rebecca Hall and Hugo Martínez, and narrated by a lengthy cast
Winners of the twenty-four categories will be announced March 28.
