The movie version of Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret. is finally out, and on the whole it's receiving rave reviews.
As of this posting, it has a 94 percent positive rating from Rotten Tomatoes users and a 99 percent approval rate from critics.
That's impressive — and also a relief, we're sure, given how many people cite the Judy Blume classic as a hugely influential work from their childhood.
The latest two odes to its power come from Elisabeth Egan in The New York Times and from those involved in making the film to NPR's Elizabeth Blair.
