Ann Patchett's novel Tom Lake came out early this month, and it's already made a splash.

Reese Witherspoon chose it for her August book club, and unsurprisingly, major media outlets are eager to interview Patchett about it.

Both NPR and The New York Times have shared the audio of these conversations, which do cover some of the same ground (like the play Our Town's role in the novel and how novels reflect their authors' lives in varying ways).

Listen to Patchett on The NY Times's Book Review podcast, and listen to or read a transcript of Patchett's appearance on NPR's All Things Considered.
