Your author business — and budget — may be small, but that doesn't mean your capabilities are limited.

Joanna Penn and Penny Sansevieri each have shared recent posts about the heights authors can achieve with minimal resources.

Penn interviewed Elaine Pofeldt, a journalist specializing in small business and entrepreneurship, about microbusinesses — that is, businesses of twenty employees or less, including those with a single employee that employs a team of contractors ... like an indie author.

The women talked about tools and strategies that lead to success in a microbusiness, among other topics, on The Creative Penn podcast.

Sansevieri also collaborated, in a way, with another writer to bring her latest advice to authors.

Her post at Author Marketing Experts shares the techniques that another writer used to sell over 20,000 books with a bare-bones marketing budget — and adds her own commentary.
