Few adults complain about having too much free time — and writers who have day jobs as well are certainly not among that minority.

Jane Friedman was on the Marginally podcast recently to discuss the topic of money and writing, and one question the hosts asked was: "How do you navigate the writing life when you have an intense day job?" 

Friedman wished her answer on-air could’ve been better, so she did what she could to make up for it — wrote a blog post offering three universal principles on time-management.
