Rachel Thompson is an author, consultant, and book marketer, and she’s been using Twitter for nearly a decade.

Clearly she sees value in the network — and she also has a good sense for what works on Twitter and what doesn’t.

Authors should consider three questions when using Twitter, according to Thompson:

  • How can you add value to your readers?

  • How can you be visible without constantly spamming your book link?

  • How can you connect with readers and influencers who will embrace your work?

Specific answers to these questions and more advice are available in her guest post on Anne R. Allen’s blog.
