Writer’s Digest has turned out to be a solid resource not just for writing advice, but for also finding the benefits of certain distractions from writing.

For instance, after contributor Scott Hildreth finished a binge-watching session of the show Stranger Things, he found himself working to identify what kept him glued to the screen ... so he could apply them to his writing.
